Pakistan’s Exports Surge 17.6% to $2.94 Billion in September 2026

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s goods exports have seen a remarkable increase of 17.6% year-on-year in September 2026, reaching $2.94 billion, up from $2.50 billion during the same month last year. This growth also marks a 16% rise compared to August’s exports of $2.53 billion, as reported by Khurram Shehzad, Adviser to the Finance Minister.

The data reflects a positive trend in Pakistan’s trade performance, with total goods exports for the first quarter of FY2026-27 amounting to $8.42 billion. Shehzad emphasized that this upward trajectory is indicative of the government’s efforts to enhance export competitiveness and stimulate economic growth.

This surge in exports is expected to bolster Pakistan’s economy, providing a much-needed boost amid ongoing challenges such as inflation and currency fluctuations. Analysts suggest that sustained export growth could lead to improved foreign exchange reserves and greater economic stability.

Looking ahead, stakeholders anticipate further discussions on trade policies and potential incentives to maintain this momentum. The government is expected to hold meetings with industry leaders to explore strategies for expanding market access and enhancing product quality.
