Power Outages Scheduled in Islamabad and Surrounding Areas on October 17

ISLAMABAD: On October 17, electricity supply will be suspended in Islamabad and several other cities as part of IESCO’s annual power distribution system maintenance program.

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) announced that the outages are necessary to facilitate ongoing developmental projects across the region. These projects include the construction of new flyovers, underpasses, and the installation of new 11KV feeders, aimed at improving the overall infrastructure and electricity distribution network.

This maintenance work is expected to impact daily life for residents, potentially disrupting businesses and essential services. IESCO has urged the public to prepare for the outages and has assured that the maintenance is crucial for enhancing the reliability of electricity supply in the long run.
