PTA Chairman Evaluates Mobile Services in Islamabad as Deadline Expires

PTA Chairman mobile services

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Hafeez-ur-Rehman, conducted a thorough assessment of mobile network services, including voice call and internet quality, across Islamabad and Rawalpindi following the expiration of a deadline for telecom operators to enhance their services.

During his inspection, which took place in various areas including Blue Area and Sectors G-7, G-8, G-9, G-11, and along Srinagar Highway, Rehman aimed to ensure that the improvements mandated by the PTA were effectively implemented. Reports indicate that the chairman’s visit was prompted by numerous complaints from citizens regarding poor service quality.

This initiative underscores the PTA’s commitment to enhancing telecommunications infrastructure, which is vital for both personal and business communications in the region. Improved mobile services are expected to bolster economic activities and enhance connectivity for residents, thereby contributing to overall development.

Looking ahead, the PTA is expected to release a detailed report on the findings from this evaluation, which may lead to further regulatory actions against telecom companies that fail to meet service standards. Stakeholders are keenly awaiting the PTA’s next steps to ensure compliance and improve user experiences.
