CM Laptop Scheme

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially distributed 5,531 laptops to students as part of the CM Laptop Scheme during a ceremony held at the University of Rasul. This initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities for students in the Mandi Bahauddin and Gujrat districts.

During the event, CM Sharif emphasized the importance of technology in education, stating, “These laptops will empower our youth and equip them with the necessary tools to succeed in a digital world.” The distribution included 2,406 laptops for students from the University of Gujrat, alongside Honhaar scholarship cheques to support their academic pursuits.

This initiative is part of the Punjab government’s broader strategy to promote digital literacy and bridge the educational divide in the province. By providing students with access to modern technology, the government aims to foster a generation that is well-prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.

Looking ahead, the Punjab government plans to expand the CM Laptop Scheme to include more districts and increase the number of beneficiaries in the coming academic year, ensuring that more students can benefit from this vital resource.
