Punjab Government Launches IT Internship Program Offering 50,000 PKR Stipend

LAHORE: The Punjab government has officially launched the “Chief Minister IT Internship Program,” aimed at providing recent graduates with a monthly stipend of 50,000 PKR. This initiative, unveiled by the Chief Minister, is designed to enhance the skills of young professionals in the information technology sector.

The program, developed in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), seeks to bridge the gap between education and employment by offering practical experience in IT. Officials stated that this initiative will not only empower graduates but also contribute to the province’s digital economy.

This program is expected to have significant implications for the youth of Punjab, as it addresses the pressing issue of unemployment among graduates. By equipping them with relevant skills and experience, the government aims to foster a more competitive workforce that can meet the demands of the evolving job market.

In the coming weeks, the Punjab government plans to hold informational sessions across various universities to promote the internship program and encourage applications from eligible candidates. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the province’s technological capabilities and support economic growth.
