Punjab Issues Rain Alert for October 6-7 Across Multiple Districts

LAHORE: The Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a rain alert for October 6-7, predicting significant rainfall across various districts including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum.

According to the PDMA, residents of Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Mianwali, and Faisalabad should also prepare for potential rain. The authority emphasized the need for caution, especially in areas prone to flooding and landslides.

This weather forecast comes as the region braces for the monsoon season, which has historically brought both relief and challenges to local communities. The anticipated rainfall could impact agricultural activities, transportation, and daily life, prompting local authorities to remain vigilant.

In light of the forecast, the PDMA has urged citizens to stay updated on weather conditions and to take necessary precautions. Emergency services are on standby to respond to any incidents arising from the expected weather changes.
