Religious Leaders Unite Against Terrorism in Pakistan’s Name

decree against terrorism

ISLAMABAD: Religious scholars and leaders from various faiths have come together to support a decree condemning terrorism, suicide attacks, and extremism, fully endorsing the national narrative of Paigham-i-Pakistan. This declaration was made during a joint meeting organized by the National Paigham-i-Amn Committee and the Balochistan Provincial Paigham-i-Amn Committee at Jamia Salafia Dawat-ul-Haq.

The meeting, chaired by Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council, emphasized that suicide attacks and the killing of innocents are strictly forbidden in Islam. Participants asserted that no individual or group has the right to resort to violence in the name of religion, sect, or ideology. They condemned the exploitation of vulnerable groups for terrorist activities, labeling such acts as crimes against humanity.

This united front among religious leaders signifies a crucial step in countering the narrative used by extremists to justify violence. By reaffirming their commitment to peace and security, these leaders aim to foster a more harmonious society and support national security institutions in their ongoing fight against terrorism.

Looking ahead, the committee plans to hold further discussions to strengthen community engagement and promote educational initiatives that counter extremist ideologies. This collaborative effort is expected to enhance public awareness and support for national security measures.
