Security Forces Kill Six Terrorists in Balochistan and KP Operations
QUETTA: Security forces killed at least six terrorists and destroyed several hideouts during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operations, conducted under the umbrella of “Operation Azm-e-Istehkam” and “Operation Rad-ul-Fitna 3,” targeted high-value insurgent locations, including the Sanni area of Kachhi district in Balochistan, dealing a severe blow to the banned outfit “Fitna al-Hindustan.”
According to security sources, the operation in Kachhi was highly coordinated, utilizing advanced intelligence to pinpoint the exact locations of the militants. During the intense exchange of fire, multiple terrorists were neutralized, and a significant cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives was recovered. Officials confirmed that these elements were planning large-scale disruptive activities across the province to sabotage key infrastructure projects and target law enforcement personnel.
These successful operations underscore Pakistan’s renewed military resolve to eliminate terrorism under the comprehensive “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision. By targeting groups like “Fitna al-Hindustan,” the state aims to restore stability in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which are critical for regional connectivity and economic development, particularly projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The persistent threat of cross-border militancy continues to challenge local security, making such preemptive strikes vital for national security.
Following the operations, security forces have launched a comprehensive sanitization and search operation in the surrounding areas to hunt down any remaining facilitators or fleeing militants. High-level security meetings are expected in Islamabad to review the progress of the ongoing anti-terror campaigns and further tighten security protocols along the western border.
