Sindh Government Orders 24/7 Construction for Karachi Yellow Line BRT Project

KARACHI: The Sindh government has mandated that construction on the Karachi Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project proceed around the clock to ensure its timely completion. This directive was issued by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon during a recent review meeting, highlighting the project’s significance for the city’s public transport system.

Minister Memon emphasized the urgency of the Yellow Line project, stating that it is a critical component of Karachi’s public transportation infrastructure. He urged the relevant authorities to accelerate their efforts and maintain continuous work schedules to meet the project’s deadlines, which are essential for improving urban mobility in the bustling metropolis.

The Yellow Line BRT is expected to significantly enhance the public transport landscape in Karachi, alleviating traffic congestion and providing residents with a reliable transit option. As the city grapples with increasing population and vehicular traffic, the successful implementation of this project could lead to improved air quality and reduced travel times for commuters.

Moving forward, the Sindh government plans to hold regular progress meetings to monitor the construction timeline and address any challenges that may arise. Stakeholders are optimistic that with the government’s commitment to 24/7 operations, the Yellow Line will be operational in the near future, transforming public transport in Karachi.
