Sindh Govt Launches Paid Internship Program for Fresh University Graduates
KARACHI: The Sindh government has officially announced a comprehensive paid internship initiative designed specifically for university degree holders across the province, aiming to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional career opportunities.
Under the newly unveiled framework, fresh graduates will be integrated into various provincial ministries, public sector entities, and affiliated organizations to gain crucial workplace experience. Selected interns will receive a fixed monthly stipend alongside direct mentorship from senior bureaucrats and industry professionals, focusing on public policy execution, administrative operations, and digital governance.
Youth affairs officials emphasized that the initiative directly addresses rising unemployment rates among educated youth in Sindh. By providing practical exposure within structured public departments, the government seeks to enhance the employability of young professionals, address skill deficits in the local labor market, and foster socio-economic stability across urban and rural districts.
The provincial administration is finalizing an online registration portal to ensure a merit-based and transparent selection process for prospective applicants. Further details regarding eligibility criteria, department quotas, and application deadlines are scheduled to be formally released in the coming days.
