PM Shehbaz Emphasizes AI and Digitalization as Keys to Pakistan’s Development

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and digitalization for Pakistan’s development during a meeting on Wednesday. He emphasized that these technologies could significantly enhance the country’s trade, exports, and overall economic growth.

During the meeting, which focused on the government’s strategic partnership with global marketing giant Alibaba, the Prime Minister stated, “The secret to Pakistan’s development lies in artificial intelligence and digitalization.” He underscored the importance of effectively implementing these technologies to improve agricultural productivity, ease of doing business, and the quality of public services.

PM Sharif welcomed Alibaba’s collaboration in facilitating Pakistani agricultural exports to Chinese markets, noting that modernizing the agricultural sector is crucial for national development. This partnership is expected to bolster trade relations and enhance the competitiveness of Pakistani products in international markets.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister called for continued efforts to integrate AI and digital solutions across various sectors. He urged stakeholders to prioritize these initiatives to ensure sustainable economic growth and improve the living standards of citizens.
