Bilawal Urges PTI to Abandon Extremist Politics to Regain Public Trust
KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday, stating that its adherence to ‘extremist politics’ is detrimental to the party’s future. Speaking to the media, he urged PTI to reassess its political approach to better serve its supporters.
Bilawal emphasized that while the PTI has a base of public supporters, its recent decisions have led to widespread disappointment. He remarked, “The PTI is a party that has public supporters, but it keeps disappointing the people because of its decisions and extremist politics.” He further noted that the party currently lacks a significant political role in Karachi and the federal government, warning that if it continues down this path, it risks losing power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well.
This critique comes as the PTI continues its march demanding the release of its jailed founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Bilawal’s comments highlight a growing concern among political analysts regarding the sustainability of PTI’s current strategies and their impact on the party’s electoral prospects.
Looking ahead, the political landscape in Pakistan may shift significantly if PTI fails to adapt its strategies. Observers are keenly watching for any changes in party leadership or policy direction that could emerge in response to these criticisms.
