Security Forces Kill 8 India-Sponsored Terrorists in Balochistan: ISPR
RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed eight terrorists linked to foreign proxies during three separate intelligence-based operations across the Quetta, Nushki, and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan, the military’s media wing stated on Sunday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were executed following precise intelligence regarding the presence of militant elements belonging to foreign-sponsored outfits attempting to destabilize the province.
The military stated that in the Panjpai area of Quetta district, security forces intercepted an attempt by militants to establish an illegal roadblock aimed at disrupting local public traffic, resulting in five terrorists being neutralized. Separately, during a clearance and sanitisation operation in Nushki district, troops raided a terrorist hideout, leading to an intense exchange of fire in which two more militants were killed alongside the recovery of weapons and ammunition.
State authorities frequently refer to designated Balochistan-based insurgent factions as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight external sponsorship and foreign involvement in regional violence. Counter-terrorism analysts note that security forces have significantly intensified Balochistan security operations in recent months to foil attempts aimed at sabotaging key infrastructure, commercial routes, and civic life in the border province.
Sanitisation operations remain underway across the affected districts to eliminate any remaining hostiles and dismantle underground networks in the region. The ISPR reiterated that the armed forces, alongside law enforcement agencies, remain resolute in their commitment to defeat foreign-sponsored terrorism and ensure long-term peace and security across the country.
