ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has officially resumed direct flights between Islamabad and Beijing, with the inaugural flight taking off on October 30. The airline will operate one flight weekly, scheduled every Friday, as part of its renewed service offering.

PIA aims to provide competitive fares while ensuring consistent and reliable services for travelers. An airline spokesperson stated, “We are committed to enhancing connectivity between Pakistan and China, facilitating not just tourism but also business and cultural exchanges. Our focus is on delivering quality service at affordable prices.” This resumption comes after a hiatus, reflecting PIA’s strategy to revitalize its international routes.

The reinstatement of these flights is expected to bolster economic ties between Pakistan and China, promoting tourism and trade. With Beijing being a significant destination for Pakistani travelers, this move is anticipated to benefit both nations by enhancing bilateral relations and increasing travel opportunities for citizens.

Looking ahead, PIA plans to monitor passenger demand closely and may consider increasing flight frequency if the response is positive. The airline is also exploring additional routes to further expand its international network.
